Assets
Assets
Assets are the systems and services ASM has discovered for your company. Each asset represents a real thing on the internet, such as a subdomain, website, public IP address, exposed server, or visible application.
The Assets page groups related issues together by the asset they affect. That makes it easy to see which actual system is at risk and how many issues belong to it. For example, one asset can show a subdomain with a couple of vulnerabilities and one open port. Another asset can show a server with a certificate warning and a suspicious endpoint.
This view is where ASM moves from general risk into real systems that can be fixed. The Assets page is useful when you want to understand which assets are most exposed, when you want to find a specific internet-facing system, and when you want to decide where to start remediation.
When you look at an asset, you should be able to see a short description of what was discovered, how serious the related issues are, and whether the asset is still active. That helps you prioritize work and communicate clearly with teams responsible for the asset.
Typical assets include:
- subdomains
- websites
- public IP addresses
- exposed servers and applications
The Assets page shows the systems that are part of your attack surface and how many issues are associated with each.
When to use it:
- to find a specific internet-facing system
- to see which assets are most exposed
- to decide where to start remediation
