Inventory
Inventory
The Inventory view is the organized list of discovered assets and their risk details. It is the place you go when you want a structured view of your attack surface.
Inventory groups assets such as subdomains, websites, IP addresses, and servers. For each asset, it often shows the number of vulnerabilities, exposures, and related findings. It may also show the current status of the asset, such as whether it is still active or whether the issue is resolved.
Inventory is useful because it turns raw alerts into a clean list of actual systems. Instead of looking at individual findings one by one, you can see the system and the full set of problems attached to it. This makes it easier to track progress and to know which assets are still needing work.
When to use Inventory:
- when you want to see the attack surface in one organized table
- when you want to review the systems that have the most problems
- when you want to build a report or share a status update with stakeholders
Use Inventory as the main tracking view for your ASM work. It is the best place to move from discovery to action.
It helps you track:
- asset names
- number of vulnerabilities
- open ports and technologies
- current status
Inventory is especially useful for follow-up and reporting.
When to use it:
- to review your attack surface in one place
- to confirm whether action items are closing
- to share with customers or leadership
