Findings
Findings
The Findings view shows the details behind the alerts that ASM has discovered. A finding is a recorded issue, such as a specific vulnerability, a suspicious endpoint, or a configuration problem.
Findings often group related alerts together, so you can see how many times a similar issue has been observed and which assets it affects. This view helps you understand the root cause of the problem rather than just the symptom.
When you open Findings, look for descriptions of the issue, the affected assets, and the severity level. You may also see notes on whether a finding is still active or whether it has been handled.
Findings are especially useful for investigation. If a support team member needs to explain why a certain asset was flagged, the Findings view provides the context and the details.
Use Findings when you want to answer questions like:
- What exactly was discovered?
- How many times has this issue occurred?
- Which assets are affected by this type of problem?
Findings group similar issues and show:
- what was found
- how many times it happened
- which assets are affected
Findings explain the details behind the risk score.
When to use it:
- to understand the root cause of an alert
- to confirm whether multiple problems are related
