Your account
Everything about you, as opposed to your organisation, is under your name in the top-right corner.
The account menu
Click your name to open it. The exact items depend on your plan and role:
- Profile & settings: your details, password, two-factor authentication and recent activity.
- Credits: your organisation's credit balance.
- Switch Workspace: move to another organisation you belong to.
- Light/Dark Mode
- What's new
- Support
- Logout
Your profile
Profile & settings → Edit Profile lets you change your name, phone number and address. Press Save Changes when you are done.
Your e-mail address is where your sign-in codes go. If you change it, you sign in with the new address from then on, so make sure it is typed correctly. If you are unsure, ask your administrator to change it for you.
Password
Profile & settings → Change Password has three fields: Current Password, New Password and Re-enter New Password.
- If you have never set a password, because you have only ever signed in with a code, type anything in Current Password. It is not checked when there is no password to check against.
- The new password must be at least 10 characters, must not contain your e-mail name, and must not be a common password.
You don't need a password at all. Signing in with a code sent to your e-mail works without one.
Forgotten your password? On the sign-in page choose Use Password Instead, then Forgot password?. We send you a code, and then you choose a new password.
Locked out? Five wrong passwords lock the account for 15 minutes. Wait, or sign in with a code instead.
Two-factor authentication
Use the Two-Factor Authentication card on Profile & settings to switch it on:
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password.
- Enter the six-digit code from the app to confirm.
- Save your backup codes somewhere safe. Each one works once, and they are how you get in if you lose your phone.
From then on you are asked for a code from the app when you sign in. If you don't have your phone, choose Use backup code instead.
The same card lets you turn 2FA off or get new backup codes. Both need your password and a current code. If you have never set a password, set one first under Change Password.
Switching organisation
If you belong to more than one organisation, Switch Workspace opens Select workspace. Pick one; everything you see then belongs to that organisation. When you belong to only one, you go straight into it at sign-in.
"No workspaces found" means none of your organisations is switched on yet. That is not something you can fix yourself; contact your administrator or support.
Notifications
Open the bell icon, then Preferences, to choose which notifications you receive and how.
Leaving
You can't delete your own account. Ask an administrator in your organisation to deactivate or remove it. Deactivating stops you signing in; your past work stays attributed to you.
