Dmarc Overview

Add and manage domains

The Domains page lists every domain you monitor in DMARC+, with its record status and mail results for the last 7 days.

Open the page

Go to DMARC+ > Domains. The subtitle reads "Based on last 7 days data."

Read a domain card

Item Meaning
Domain name The monitored domain
Volume Messages reported for the domain in the last 7 days
DMARC+ Policy The policy found in DNS: Reject, Quarantine, None, or a dash if none is published
Record status Status of the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records (Valid, Invalid, Not published, Unknown)
Pass rate Share of reported mail that passes, shown as a percentage
Refresh button Re-runs the DNS check for that domain
Warning icon The message "Domain is not sending DMARC+ reports to the platform". The published DMARC record does not point at your DMARC+ report address.
Go to Asset Opens the domain in Monitoring, with its full configuration and health

Note: the card's policy comes from live DNS, so it changes as soon as you refresh after a DNS update.

Filter the list

Filter Use
Parked Show only parked domains, or hide them
Criticality High, Medium or Low

Add a domain

  1. Select the add control.
  2. Enter Domain name, Domain criticality and DKIM Selector (required).
  3. Turn on Parked Domain if the domain never sends mail.
  4. Save.

DMARC+ performs the DNS check immediately. See Set up DMARC for the first time for the next steps.

Edit a domain

Open the domain and change the criticality, selector or parked flag. Changing the selector matters: DKIM is only checked for the selector saved on the domain.

Group domains

Create a New Group in the add flow or edit an existing one to put related domains together, for example by business unit or region. Groups are available as a filter on the Dashboard.

Why a domain shows a warning

What you see Likely cause Fix
"Not sending reports to the platform" The DMARC record has no rua, or it points elsewhere Add your DMARC+ address to rua. See Managed record tools.
DMARC status Not published No TXT record at _dmarc.<domain> Publish one
DKIM status Not published or Unknown The selector is wrong, or DNS has not propagated Correct the selector and refresh
No volume The domain has not sent, reports have not arrived, or records are new Wait and check Troubleshooting

Add many domains

For the practical steps of onboarding 20 or more domains, see DMARC for multiple domains.
