Dmarc Overview

How DMARC+ connects to other Hunto features

DMARC+ data feeds several other parts of Hunto. This page lists each connection and what it means for you.

Security score

Hunto's security score includes an Email health factor based on DMARC.

Point Detail
What counts Your active domains that have a DMARC record
What raises it The share of those domains with an enforced policy (quarantine or reject)
What does not A none policy counts as not enforced
No domains If no domains are monitored the factor is left out and the remaining factors carry the weight

Tip: move parked domains to reject first. It is a fast way to raise the share of enforced domains.

There is also a separate domain rating that reads your DNS directly for email security records. It does not use DMARC+ report data.

Detections

Discovery can raise a finding when a domain has weak email posture, such as no DMARC and no SPF record. Publishing the records and onboarding the domain in DMARC+ resolves the cause.

Tasks

Task categories can include email authentication problems such as "DMARC missing or set to none" and spoofing. DMARC+ does not create tasks automatically, so create one manually for each failing sender. See Use cases.

Notifications and weekly report

The weekly DMARC+ report is sent by email to members of your organization. See Weekly and PDF reports.

Reports

DMARC templates in Monitoring > Reports produce formatted PDFs. They can be scheduled.

Monitoring assets

Each domain in DMARC+ is also an asset in Monitoring. From the Domains page, Go to Asset opens it. The asset's Configuration tab has an Email authentication card with links to the tools.

Command line, MCP and API

There are no DMARC+ commands in the Hunto command line or MCP server at the time of writing. Contact your account team about API access.
