Proofpoint Whitelisting

Proofpoint Whitelisting

Whitelist your PhishGrid sending domains and IPs (see Sending Domains & IPs). Steps differ between Proofpoint editions.

Proofpoint Enterprise (Protection Server)

  1. Email Protection → Spam Detection — add your PhishGrid sending IPs/domains to the Safe Senders list, or create a custom rule matching the sender IP/domain with action Skip spam and phishing filtering / Deliver.
  2. Email Protection → URL Defense → Exceptions — add your PhishGrid domains so links are not rewritten or time-of-click scanned.
  3. Attachment Defense — add an exception for PhishGrid senders (if attachments are used).

Proofpoint Essentials

  1. Administration → Account Management → Features (or Security → Filter Policies) — add PhishGrid domains/IPs to the Allow list at the org level.
  2. URL Defense — add PhishGrid domains to the URL exceptions list.

Console menus and labels vary by product version and edition — use these as a guide and confirm against your gateway's admin documentation. Always whitelist the current values from Sending Domains & IPs, and send a 5–10 user test campaign before launching organisation-wide.
